She’s an elf, and he’s a dwarf. They come from two lands that are at odds and have different philosophies of life. One of them is even immortal.
Yet they’re in love.
That’s why not even the Eye of Sauron matters when it comes to love, social structures, and warring lands. Instead, what matters is how you feel. That you love, are loved.
So keep that in mind when you sit there thinking about the qualities you’re looking for in a significant other or think you have any idea who they could be. You don’t because love doesn’t always make sense. If it’s real, it doesn’t need to be.
